A Valencian Wedding: Maria & Austen

I’ve known the Maria the bride for around 16 years, so when she asked me to film her wedding in Valencia I was really excited both to be a guest and to be filming an old friends wedding.

It was always going to be fun but a week in Valencia was obviously the icing on the cake. I especially love filming and photographing destinations weddings as there I get to explore and work in a new environment.

I forgot to mention I used to live in Spain which is how I know Maria, she was one of my sisters best friends at school. So it was amazing to get to go back and spend some time eating the local cuisine I have missed so much (and the cheap booze!)

The wedding took place at Mas Les Lloses, an amazing spot just outside of Valencia.

Although it was extremely fun it was quite a tricky wedding to capture, the main reason was the staggering 38 degree mid August temperatures.

However it was a fun challenge and once I had gotten used to being continually hot and sweaty and the fact I couldn't see my camera screens properly due to the intense sunlight It all went great.
